WRAP Administrator Nan Young is a native of Westerly, RI. She has traveled some, even across the "pond" a few times … but the natural beauty of her small town — (which includes a stunning Victorian strolling park, beautiful downtown architecture, and of course, miles and miles of beaches) — never fails to provide interesting things to photograph! And then there are the grandchildren ...

Nan learned black & white photography as a child, in the basement darkroom her dad built. She studied black & white photography at URI with the late Bart Parker, who challenged her in multiple ways (all good!), and Stephan Brigidi, also at URI.

Drawn to water images, reflections, nature, and interesting patterns in light and dark, her style is eclectic — mirroring her tastes in music, art, theatre, good food ... and friends!

Nan has sung with the Chorus of Westerly since childhood, is an actress on stage and in film  (including a gig as Meryl Streep's photo double!),  and also provides design services for web and print — please visit www.wellspringmediagroup.com to see her work!
